Could one of the Admins check to see why my pics aren't working? Thanks.
I have them linked to another site and they do work else where, so a bit confused.

Hi All,

I have browsed your site looking to identify my synos and pl*cos. I hope you don't mind if I post all in one post  ?

First one:

Has a long dorsal fin and is about 5" long.

Next:

I was told it was a leopard catfish ?? And it does not look like a clwon pl*c unless his spots are going to change, unfortunatley I could not get a side on view but I will try.

Sorry for the poor quality, but could not coax him out of hiding under the rocks. I will try and get a better pic.

He looks like a gold nugget pl*c but is +/- 7", as can be seen predominantley hangs upside down.

Thank you guys for your time.

You'll have to host your pics elsewhere. If you put them in a photo gallery where a password is required, no one else can see them.

First and third pics are of a hybrid Synodontis, one with a Lake Tanganyika Synodontis in its lineage (I believe the identity of this fish has been discussed in previous threads).
Second pic is L124.
Fourth pic is that of S. angelicus.

Thanks Silurus,

I thought pic 4 was an Angelicus but could not match him, I went over all the pics you posted a couple of time but could not make up my mind. PS Pics 1 and 3 are two different fish. The 3rd pic is just 2/3" big where as the 1st pic he is about 5" big and has a 'tail' on his dorasl fin, can't be seen in the pic.

As for the others, the hybrids, who could I match them closest, or was the post within the What fish? section? *Edit* Is it this one?

I just need to know what to feed them, thanks again for the prompt response.

No, that's not it. I could have sworn I had seen identical pics somewhere in the forum, although a search yielded nothing.
Synos are not fussy eaters anyway and you should not have any problem feeding them flakes, pellets, or frozen/live food.

Are the hybrids cross bred with another? Or are they bred in another way?

Should I try and get a better pic showing his long fin? A couple of us thought he looked similar to the S. Decorus, has the same dorsal fin but the spots are different.

The hybrids are artificially bred by nasty, unscrupulous humans using hormone injections.

Your fish is definitely not S. decorus. But post a better pic and perhaps we can identify it for you.

I will certainly try, the problem is that he keeps hiding under the rocks.

Picture number 2 looks like an L75 to me.

I am not sure if this is right, but the L74 on the cat-elog looks just like the L002?

yep it can either be an L75, L124 or Lda02

L75 and LDA02 are identical and are collected in the southern range of the species (North east Brazil at least), L124 is _probably_ the same species and is found in more northern (Southern Venezuela) areas hence the proliferation of L - numbers.
