Simple question really, I have a 25 gallon tank with freshwater goldfish and was wondering if catfish can a) survive in 20 degrees C and b) live with goldfish? :? :?

Depends on what kind of catfish you have. Temperate species can withstand lower temperatures than that.

Corydoras paleatus, Corydoras barbatus or -if you can get them!- maybe Madtoms?

But never stock C. barbatus with goldfish. Barbatus needs lots of fresh, oxygene rich water, and the current they like is way to much for a goldfish in the long run.

If you want a cory, i would stick to paleatus.

How big is the tank and the goldfish in it? - If it's really big (goldfish can grow quite large aswell) maybe some brown bullhead (A. nebolosus - If the goldfish are beond eating size). Maybe not the best advice either, but i just love the look of that fish, find it to be a REAL cat.

EDIT: OK, just saw it's a 25 g, so NO bullheads for you ;-)
