Brilliant!
Thats the kind of fish I'm currently trying to breed! I've managed to get some eggs but all were white and infertile. Since then the water's been looking not crystal clear. Its not very cloudy but its looking 'wrong'. I'm used to using a external filter Flual 405 on my 3 foot aquarium which keeps my tanks water looking super clean!
In my breeding tank (24" x 15" x 15") I've got a Fluval U2 which I've noticed doesn't have much room for biological filtration. It doesn't have any 'pasta tubes' - only the white solid carbon blocks. Is a Fluval U2 Internal Filter good enough in this respects? Is there any internal filter that does all mechanical / biological and chemical filtration?
PS - A 'bio-wheel filter' is very hard to come by in the UK!

Sorry, i didn't use U2 filter before but it's specifications shows that enough up to 30 gallons! And yours if i calculate right 24 gallons.seems ok. You may use some nitrification bacteria starter culture to help your filter until it holds enough for biological filtering.
