My Tank and Bumblebee Cat

Here are the pics of my 8 Gallon custom octagonal tankand Bumblebee Jelly Cat
Its my room mates cat that I abducted and am caring for now, has ignited interest in Aquariums again ;)
I will be getting a Striped Raphael soon as well as more hiding places.

Does sitting right on top of a speaker seem to affect the fish at all?

speaker stays off until I get the stand.
as for cycling, yes they have, but I didnt have the opportunity. he was already in an uncycled tank with Frogs, there is no place to put him during the cycling process. I will be monitoring the water for the next couple weeks to make certain Ammonia and Nitrites dont get too high. the frogs were pestering the crap outta him so I had to move him. that tank had not been cycled either so it wasnt that big a change (I dont think).
Anything else I should watch out for besides ammonia and nitrites?

That's about it, actually. If you can find a cycled tank that you could either trade cycled media out of, or swish the cycled media out in a bag half full of water, that might at least give the bacteria a jump start. Its really important to not overfeed him until the tank is finished with its cycle. Feed him just a small amount of food every other day or so for this first month, until you have established zero ammonia and nitrites, and low nitrate levels. If at any point the ammonia or nitrites start to rise to toxic levels, you can do a partial water change to help keep him safe.

ok cool, that is exactly what I was planning since I didnt get to cycle the tank. should I get a nitrate test kit? the kit I have not tests nitrites and ammonia, nothing for nitrates. I will look into getting some filter material to swish around in there.

have a question. the water in this tank has lots of little bubbles swirling around in the light current created by my internal filter. Are these bubble going to be harmful? there are lots of bubbles on the glass of the tank as well. Are these bubbles a bad thing?
