As the title says, does anyone know of a source of these in the US?

I do have C. osteocaris, however I am in the UK. However all is not lost as I usually make the trip over the pond a couple of times each year. I am scheduled to talk at the OCA in November, but may make a trip over sooner.

Mr. Fuller,
I'm not sure I can make it to Cleveland, but I'd try my best to arrange the trip. You are coming from England afterall!

If you can't make it in person, there's always the option of a "fish-relay". I was involved in getting a group of Centromochlus romani from Reigate via Scotland to the Netherlands.

So if someone you know is is going to the conference, that you can meet up with at a later time, that's another option. Of course, if you are a cory fan, listening to a talk by Ian is worth almost any amount of money and time spent getting there... ;)

sdm,

Where in the states are you, I may know someone on your side of the pond that could help.

It's a pity you didn't have this passion for C. osteocarus a few of months ago when I came over for the All Catfish convention in Farfax, VA. The next one should be in 2012.

You're right, I've thought about that. I went hoping there would be some there. I did get some oiapoquensis. I didn't become aware of the convention until just before it started.

I've actually been interested in finding some for a few years, and posted about it here:http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... =6&t=18733. Right about then life got in the way of my tanks and I had to scale down to only one. I maintained it, but that's all. I've just in last 6 months got back into the hobby.

Hello all,

I never followed up on any of the above discussion. I had to take a little break, but now I'm looking at jumping back in. So, my question is what's changed in the last couple of years? Any new sources of the more rare Corydoras sp.? I'd still like to find a group of osteocarus and some more oiapoquensis. I did see that the convention near Washington D.C. took place last fall. Is this an annual event? When I went in 2010 I didn't realize it would be held there again? If so, my best bet may be to start making plans for the 2013 convention.

Seth,

The Catfish Convention is held every other year. The next one will be in 2014. You might want to attend a meeting of the Potomac Valley Aquarium Society. They are the driving force behind the Convention.
