Any help is appreciated...

[removed broken youtube link]

I saw the descriptor, but the vid was posted in 2006, so I was hoping more info had come to light...Looking at the fish, it is definitely a Leporacanthicus sp...not Hypancistrus.

Have a look at http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... 0&p=206736

If you search the forum for "Leporacanthicus youtube", you'll see that there are several other threads regarding the same fish.

I removed your youtube link, as it wasn't working anyways - I suspect you copied and pasted this from anothe forum...

Hello

Leporacanthicus sp. "Black and White" is an inofficial name I've heard.
Expect the movie on youtube, I haven't seen any of those!!

There are several rumors about this fish.
1. Mutation in nature and has just been found once in Venezuela
2. Fake
3. Has now been found again in Peru but not been imported yet.

I prefer #3 and still hope we will get this fish in near future :d

Some information from a german forum:

Cheers Simon
