Does anybody here have expirience keeping these cats?

I'm really fund of the S. glanis, but knowing that i could never keep such a monster, even if i made the hole garden into a pond, i have for long had my eyes on this fish, that should outgrow at a reasonable length (According to IGFA largest recordet specimen var 55 cm and 2,74 kg, but biologist B.J. Muus claims normal max. length at 35 cm)

Did anybody keep these in an outdoor pond? - Anybody had any breeding expirience or info?

If I was to keep these in an indoor aquarium, how big should the tank be for the fish to thrive?

Do the fish school, or will it be happy on it's own?

I have one in a 20-gallon tank (although it will be sacrificed for science before it outgrows the tank), and it is a fairly easy fish to keep.
Not too demanding on water conditions, and anot a fussy feeder, either. They are not particularly sociable, and are best kept alone (at least in a tank).
Breeding season is from April-August, with water temperatures around 14-29°C. Nesting typically occurs in shallow water, with a sandy substrate. Courtship and spawning includes the typical ictalurid head-to-tail spawning posture, and one or both sexes will guard the nest.

I would say a 4 foot tank should be big enough for one of those guys. I have a black bullhead in a 55 gallon that I think should be a decent size for him.
