Hi. Got this little chap a while back and presumed he is a L191. :lol:
Am I right?

Hi!

I ain't so sure.
L191 does have a red eye but darker than this.
How big is the fish on your pic, seems really small?!!
I will rather think at L27 "Rio Xingu " population, shown in the Aqualog under L27b

hi i agree with yann.. if its an L191 it kinda lacks the green coloring.. nywasy your kinda lucky to have L27b bec. i heard that they are quite difficult to get.. :)

With that new shot the case is solved. L191. But with the first shot it did look a bit like the L27 variant, didn't it?

Thanks Guys. That was a close, apparently the L27 is double the size of the L191 when adult. :shock:
The Growlux does have a UV effect on colours in the tank, my Synos look purple under it.

L 191 grows to at least 30 cm. DATZ has given estimate length 30-50 cm! I have owned 20 cm long species.
