What is this flatter pleco?

Again, pic by Mark Smith, I am not sure of the ID, but looking for opinions (and, as ever, reasoning).

Also, it was approx. 7 cm total length.

Hi!!
I would also believe it is more likely to be L252
Judging by the pictures, it is a juvenile / subadult...with L67 or L257 you would expect a biger and brighter "yellow" seam than what is shown here
If you look the start of the disc in the upper part, it fits better L252 than the Pseudancistrus!!

You would, but if you look closely, the top of the dorsal fin is missing. So we don't know what colour it might be. I agree this is closer to
but I think it is still a bit of a guess.

The head is shallower and more in line with L252, and the fright pattern consists of 5 vertical bars along the body, again similar to that in L252.

I do not know anything about very many of the vertically compressed plecos but I do find it an interesting specimen. Pretty cool find.
