Wow, would love to see updates on the Amur cats and the Phalacronotus cats, the Phalacronotus seems to have grown considerably, and judging by their stomachs, are hearty eaters.

The hi-fin looks awesome aswell. Being in a tropical country all I see in LFS are dead hi-fins or very emaciated hi-fins, all juveniles and none near maturity.

8 months of pretty much not feeding and not being able to inflate a swimming bladder followed by a turn around... i had buried the fish already in my mind...

@FatCatDoorMat These have their own threads on the MFK. To find them in this thread, you'd have to look back and comb, which is inconvenient, sorry.

Yes, Chinese hi fins are a temperate water fish that are not too adaptable, so we almost never get to see (mostly tropical) peers showing their larger specimen.

The syno eupterus and the hybrids were caught rasping a sun catfish, earning a way out of this tank and likely into the jerk tank with the Malawians and Co.:

I was unfair to tilapia. It was likely merely coincidental that after the addition of the tilapia, the damage started to appear on the snail bullhead. That was actually coming from a yellow bullhead, who used to be beta and the snail alpha but it was changing apparently (in retrospect) right when tilapia was introduced.

Nope. 3 days in 1800 gal. Failure. The opportunistic, predatory, smart mahseer prove successful at biting little bits off the soldiers fins, little by little but incessantly:

The bigger one of the two young black ears is moved to 1800 gal and so far, in a week, successfully, especially in view of their extreme nervousness and in view of the failure of the same move by three 1ft soldier catfish, who were tattered up by mahseer.
