Thoughts on these L75 type fish...

I have a feeling two of these are real L75 (those called type 2), and the others are "something else".
Would like a second opinion...
Type 1:
Type 2:

Type 1 = L147 male.
Type 2 = not L075, more similar to L163 but still very young.

Hey Mats,
I'm not thinking either the Type1 or the Type2 are L75. I've had several and still keep one of them, and the tail had rather uniformly sized and distributed black spots whereas the type 2 in your picture appears to have a solid tail. And while the black spots started smaller at the head and became larger as progressed to the tail, they too were still rather uniformly distributed.
The type2 appear like L163. Have to think on the type1. Is the marking on the Type 1 tail in bands or spotted? I can't tell from the picture.

The tail on the type 1 is striped.
I did think they may be L147, which means I've now got another 4 L147, to go with the 8-9 I already had before...
L163 is a nice one...

L147 first L163 second - I'm certain on these.

Thanks all. The first one, I did think L147 myself, but they don't look exactly like the L147 I've already got. I wish I got more of the L163...

Here is a pic of one of the L-163's we got in our last shipment it was taken the morning after arrival so colours are a bit stressed still.

Peckoltia sp.
is commonly misidentificed as P.
. I think the type 2 is P. sp. L013.

The spots seem too big to me to be L013 and the base colour too orangey?

We do get one or two plecos from Tocantins sometimes that look identical at smaller size (10-12cm) with the one we export as L163 from Xingu. I don't know if the location is wrong for L163 (Rio do Para) because from this part no plecos have been exported for around 2 years and before that I did not see this species among other fish either from this area. The fact is that in these 3 rivers Tocantins, Araguaia and Xingu exist a similar species looking as L13 and L163, not seen any fully adult yet but up to 15cm TL they look to be the same species for me, a little like the varities of H. sabaji that look a little different in each river.

I'm pretty sure the eyes are "normal". It's quite a small fish, about 6cm.

So, looking at the latest photo + looking at the pictures in the Cat-eLog, I'm leaning towards
rather than
.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

Looking at the Back to Nature Guide I'd have to say
. According to the book it is usually incorrectly labeled as L163 in trade so very possible many of the pictures in the cat-elog are mislabeled as well.

Fishes in the cat-eLog are not identified on the basis of import trade names. For my money these two numbers are the same species from different rivers but that remains untested scientifically.
