fish not elephants

I seem to remember that some one was feeding whole peanuts to their fish. does any one remember the results?

I don't know who was doing that, but I feed nuts to my headstanders (Abramites hypselonotus) all the time. So long as the shells are off, the headstanders destroy nuts. They can also bite through pumpkin seeds even with the seed coats on. I take it that a lot of other Amazonian fish also eat fruits & nuts during the rainy season. It would not surprise me at all if someone found a peanut- or peanut butter-loving pleco.

Pacu feed on seeds and nuts in the wild. Not peanuts, though, I don't think.
