Microglanis cottoides in clog

Post by The.Dark.One »

Images 2 to 7 in from Province of Corrientes, Argentina look more like M. carlae to me. Also the locality is more likely for M. carlae: Paraguay River basin (which flows to Corrientes as the Parana).

M. cottoides is known from the Lagoa dos Patos, Uruguay River and Rio de la Plata which are close by but tend to be more south-east.

I think these are more likely M. carlae (which have quite a narrow caudal peduncle) as distributed by Glaser.
