OK, so as mentioned a few times, I've received my trio of
today, and before they went into their new home, I took a few pictures. I asked for 1M/2F, and in the bag, they looked like 3F but now the images make me thing 2M/1F. Please let me know what you think
Fish 1 (I think Female)

Will add each other fish to a seperate reply.
Thanks

It's not easy to see as they sit on the bottom, but as they swim it should be clear. How long are they, Martin? They seem large enough to show gender, but I may well be mistaken.

Hi Marc. The largest is about 60mm SL, the smallest just over 50mm. I couldn't get my camera to take decent shots of the fish moving, but agree its tough with them on the bottom.

Martin

Based on body depth you could have a female and 2 males but they are a small size at 5cm SL. I'm not sure they would be sexed out at that stage?
With these fish it is sometimes easier to gently lift them into your hand (holding them loosely) whilst still in the water. You can then get a better pic of the anal fin e.g.:

Perhaps it removes the fun of joining in?

That pic however shows sexually mature fish - I am not sure if Martin's are?

Not really, as that's 5 inches, not cm!
Thanks Steve, maybe I'll give them some time to grow a bit and try again. I'm sure it'll be easier once they get 3-4".
Thanks both
Martin
