#1 - Tiger Beer - it's just so good when it's cold.
#2 - Cristal - Peru's big beer and also a great thirst quencher.
#3 - Guinness - especially when drunk cold in warm places
#4 - Caledonian India Pale Ale (same as Edinburgh IPA above) - top curry beer.
#5 - Milwaukee - My favourite session beer as I appear to be able to drink it forever and you can't get it in the UK so I don't have the opportunity to drink so much of it to ensure I go off it. Oddly, Americans don't appear to think too much of this brew.
#6 - San Miguel in big bottles of fizzy gut filling tasty lovelieness.
#7 - Red Stripe one of the best strong lagers and great, er, cold...

after 11 months in Dominican republic i figured out that i should stop drinking beer and just consentrate on the rum, since there are no cats down there i put all my time into Brugal.

When I've got a bit of money to spend I like any of Great Lakes Brewery's (Cleveland area local) offerings so far.

I typically drink either a Lager or IPA.
Samual Adams Boston Lager
Asahi Extra Dry, rarely, particularly with fish.
I particularly liked a New Zealand Bitters I had last year but cannot find it locally.

Everyday brew would either be the Sam Adams or Michelob Light.

#1 of course the only and original Guiness, but not the s**t that are sold in bottle, and not the Guiness that is sold elsewhere with that "rest of the World taste"!!!!
#2 the beers that Canadian singer Robert Charlebois makes in his Microbrewery. Trust me they are delicious and quite strong as well!!!
#3 Budweiser: make me miss the good old state...and the good time I had there!!!
#4 Scoll. Cerveja bem gelade. When really thirsty under the brasilian sky... good cold beer...

I don't care much for booze (whiskey, rum etc), but I DO like special beers.
In Belgium (wich is about 8 kilometers from my frontporch), they have this stuff called "Kasteelbier" (wich means Castle Beer). It's got 11% of alcohol......and here we have Grolsch Kanon (yup, that's "cannon"), 11,5%. Quadruple from my home-town has been yeasted 4 (!! four!!) times and has almost 12% in it....lethal stuff*

Two half liter bottles of that, and they can drag me through town on my left nostril, won't feel a thing

I loooooove heavy beer.

Just got back from the pub and i think i've had some bad ale i keep imagining people on a catfish forum discussing beers from around the world so in order:
1# newcastle brown ale (cus its just the dogs bo**ocks or thats what they put in it, can never remember which after a good nights drinkin')
2# stella because it nums the pain when you need it.
3# kronenberg because i have gained the ability to drink loads and not have it catch up with me for about 3 days, thats 3 days of drinkin with only one hangover fantastic.

Personally I like anything brewed properly and ale-like, plus Chimay, anything by Unibroue (when in Canada...), Ice-cold Tiger (only with good oriental food), but as there is a BEER FESTIVAL all weekend here in Bolton I may have a few more to add, should I survive...

We have a thing here thats called Radler its beer with orange llemonade also called Alsterwasser or called Dreckiges (dirty) or kalter Kaffee (cold coffee) with Cola

i liked foster's when in thailand, because it had a higher alcohol content than here in the U.S./ i still drink it on occasion here; i drank san miguel, when in the phillipines, for the same reason.. i liked this microbrew called "SAXER'S LEMON LAGER", BUT CAN'T find it anymore??? it tastes like lemon beer, not malt liquor like doc otis or that other stuff---gooooddddddd sh*******t!!

Ahh... Fat Tire... but it's unknown anywhere but the southwest and Raliegh NC, where a DJ's got an unhealthy fixation with it... Funny to watch my cousins pack a trunk full of the 12 packs every time they're out here.

90 Shilling's good too, but that's nearly unknown in state, and I'm guessing it never sells elsewhere...

Not too terribly far off is the Golden CO brewery...
Coors is not so bad if I must drink a domestic macrobrew.

And budweiser is palatable if free.

I like Dinyars idea... I'll have to try that, I'm sure it'd clean ones body of all evils and most bodily fluids in a few hours. Stoli and fish mess... call it a brown daquari or mulmschlager or something.

Ever heard of Skull Splitter. It's black and thick like tar, sold in orkney, and they had to stop selling it in pints 'cos even the old ladies were starting punch ups and breaking into the local grocers!!!!

I like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale the best. If you are looking for strong, try a beer called Salvatoire (sp?), very high alcohol percentage. Another strong beer that is very similar to Savatoire (but not as tasty) is Abita Andygator (its also a local beer).

Oh man its a green bottle with an elephant on the front, that stuffs lethal.

Well now I just have to wade in . . . believe it or not I don't drink

But I used to, and have travelled a fair bit also. Such thirsty work drove me all about, especially to Portland, Oregon (USA) where the microbrewery craft is in abundance, to the tune of some 200 local brews.

#1 without a doubt some Granville Island brew, Honey Nut Brown Ale. Vancouver's best!

#3 Corona, it's just so nice and clean, and lime is divine - you could just guzzle it on a hot day . . .

Of course this is from memory Must say I don't miss hangovers but I do miss beer w/lime on a hot day. Oh and finally IMHO and just to stir the hornet's nest, American beer is largely rot esp Hamms or Coors, most Canadian beer is not much better, and Guinness is just foul - right up there on my "how can drink this?" list with scotch. Blech.

As an aussie, can I just say, with no offence meant to those who love it, Fosters Lager is one of our worst beer's.

My favourite beer's

Newcastle brown, Heineken, James Boag's Premium Lager, Carlsberg, Guiness, Corona w/ Lemon oh and of course Crown Lager.

Some local brewed stuff that is cheaper and more regularly drunk, Emu Bitter, Swan Draught, and Toohey's old when eating a steak.

The worst hangover beer ever is something called Emu Export - if ever in Australia, buy a carton of this stuff, and see how you go. its nasty.
