One reason why your fish is so pale is because of the light-colored substrate. The other reason is that it's probably quite uncomfortable in your tank (the coral chips you are using as substrate is making the water far too hard for its liking).

I'd switch the substrate to darker-colored gravel/sand if I were you.

I mixed in some river rocks a few weeks ago since I am getting some cory's and I don't want their barbs to get caught also its just regular white rocks in my tank

I wouldn't advise keeping on that substrate. It is not suitable; they need sand.

You also need to have driftwood in your tank (preferably not the rock-hard types). The eats wood, and needs it for a healthy digestive system.

I have a piece of moapi(sp) and he has been chewing on that since early December when I got him

"moapi" = "Mopani" I guess. Mopani is one of those "rock hard" types of wood that racoll mentions. It's better than nothing, but a softer type of wood would be better.

Looks like Panaque maccus to me. I have four of these and they all used to look just like yours when they first arrived, yellow and very pale colored. I'm sure it was due to the stress of traveling through the mail. They love/need driftwood. Here's what they look like now: (They look darker without the flash)

Yeah I saw him on my plastic cave and he was darker
