Hey everybody! I was just curious about the minimum tank size for a single and can they be kept alone?

A single could be kept in a five gallon no problem...this would be the most calm tank you would ever see as they are fairly inactive.
Best to use sand and some leaf litter on the bottom.

They are an interesting fish but not very active at all.

In that case, I would try to also keep with it a small schoal of or one of the other very small Corydoras species.

I say try because I am not sure if the Bunocephalus would attempt to go after them.
