FIGHTING: NEED ADVISE (Megalechis thoracata)

Hello,

I have two male hoplos who are appropriately a year old. They live in 120cm long tank with 8 Corydoras. Recently the hoplos have started to attack each other, flipping their tails at each other, doing downward bombing attacks and circling each other. My biggest concerned is they will hurt the Cory cats in the process. They also fight when I hand feed them, my hand has been flipped by a hoplo tail in the process. The smaller of the two spends a lot of his time in his barrel now. I am wondering is this the way it will be from now on or will they learn to live in harmony again.

I don't think they will harm the Corys. They probably wont harm each other either. Just keep an eye out for any damage and make sure they are both feeding.

How are the hoplos doing now? I've lost two of mine since the breeding season apparently started this week. I'm hoping I don't lose more, but at this rate I might have to rehome them anyway.
