Result of a fight or sick Rineloricaria Parva?

Hy everyone,
I'm a little upset and I need your help, since 1 or 2 weeks, one of my four Loricaria Parva has his tail white (the extremity of the tail became whiter today) and his back fin has completely disappeared since yesterday.
Here are some pictures, do you think that this is because of a fight or is it a disease? (my fish eats and lives normally, I have not seen any change in his behavior).
Thanks a lot for your lights,
Marie-Alix

There is certainly an infection that needs treating here.
I do not think there has been a fight,(although it could be a severe injury)unless you have something predatory/nasty in the tank with them?

Hi,
Thanks for your answer! How can I treat this infection?
With my Parva I have L201, Corydoras Trilineatus, Multidentata and Red Cherry, so, for me, no predator for them.
Cheers,

I have an L-201 that had very bad injuries with a lot of his muscle exposed, I was ready to euthanize him when I started treatment with Melafix. Within a month, it healed completely.
That will be my first option from now on when dealing with physical injuries.
Yours looks bad. Good luck with him.

I'm not sure if you can obtain the same stuff in France as in the UK - anything antibacterial would be a starting point.

Hey guys,
Just wanna give you some news of my rineloricaria, and share my "experience"
I went to a store to buy an antibacterial product. The seller is a friend and he sadly had not this kind of product, he advised me to put an antibiotic for humans. This is a beta-lactam antibiotics called "Amoxicillin". You can have it only with a prescription(in France).
So, he told me to put 500mg per 100 L of water, and make a week after a water change of 1/3 of tank volume and filtered with activated carbon during 4-5 days.
Unfortunately, he told me that my rineloricaria had little chance to survive and if it was the case, he would lose his tail.
But I was very lucky and my rineloricaria survived and tail fin is regrowing.
Here are some pictures of his recovery,
3 days after treatment:
4 weeks after treatment:
Again thank you for your help!
Regards,
Marie-Alix

This is wonderful news. Hopefully the tail will fully recover.
Interesting that the pet store seller suggested to continue using "activated carbon during 4-5 days." Usually carbon will neutralize medication (the medication will suggest taking out carbon). Are antibiotics different? Is activated carbon ok with antibiotics?
