L144 question

Is it possible to get L144 from a cross of a red marble and either another red marble, a calico or a gold spot. Not sure who the Mom is, but Dad is a red marble. Some of the fry are looking like common gold spot BN, but what looks like a large portion of a possible second clutch of eggs are yellow bodies (yolk sack is all but gone) and they have dark eyes.
If so would they be true L144's or what are called false L144's?
Thanks for any help in this as I got most of my current BN at auctions so I don't know their genes.

Yes this is possible, because you don't know how the parents of your breeding group looks like ... Genetics go a lot more backwards.

What people call popularly call L144 is actually ancistrus sp4.

L144 appears to be a separate species not really seen in the hobby - see cat-e-log.
