I got an adult trio (1 male and 2 females). I tried to feed Omega One Shrimp Pellets but they do not seem to like it and did not even taste it. I bought them yesterday and tried to feed them now after 1 day. What else should I get to feed them?

Well at the time being I can only get Omega One and Tetra food so I need something out of those. Also I can get some frozen bloodworms.

When did you feed? Was the light on or off? Did youu leave the food in?

Shrimp pellets should be fine. I've never kept L134 but I'd wager they rarely come out, even to eat. I've never seen some of the plecs I own eat, and they've lived and bred so I must be doing something right.

I fed them about 1 hour ago. They are in a bare bottom tank so they are out :s Yes I left food in. They do not have direct light on them since the light is from the room and not the aquarium but they surely can see.

Hmmm, they'll need hiding places to feel more secure. And Peckoltia may be different but my Hypancistrus don't come out at all if there's light out.

Yes I am going to make them some driftwood and hiding places but since I got them yesterday I thought to leave them bare bottom for now to see that everything is ok.

You will only get to see them be VERY stressed and afraid. You will get much more natural healthy behavior if they have things to hide amongst and under, IMO. I doubt they will eat well until they have some cover to feel safe around.

I will make them a suitable house to live in and will let you know.

Bloodworms are good right?

What about live mosquito larvae?

I actually tend to feed some form of prepared sinking food as a staple (hikari sinking and algae wafers or NLS grow), then I supplement with live or rich frozen foods. While conditioning foods will help the fish get in shape quickly, it can also put them more at risk for bacterial and digestive issues to tank up on really rich foods soon after shipping. Everything in moderation would be a good rule, until they settle in.

Ok will go for prepared food for now

6 days omega one shrimp pellet
1 day algae wafer

is this a good staple for around 2-3 weeks?

Ok will do. I hope I do not foul the water if I leave them for long and they not eat them.

Try feeding them just before you turn the lights off.
Check back the next morning

At the moment they are eating shrimp pellets. I also put some bog wood in there but they do not nibble on it. Unfortunately the male did not enter the cave yet :(
