Hi
I am a newbie here and would like some advice regarding the golden chinese algae eater.
Does anybody have any experience with it?

I bought it after reccomendation from my lfs then discovered that it is the golden chinese algae eater. I have seen conflicting news regarding its aggressiveness. Some websites say that its as aggressiveas the common kind, while some state that the golden breed is not agressive. Need advice from pple who have reared it before.

Thanks in advance :)

The conflicting advice your getting is everwere for a good reason because (as science has just cought up) fish have personalities and just because they are the same species doesn't always mean they will act the same. But to give you a rough idea in general the species is aggressive and territoral grows on average to about 8" and is too agressive in my opinion for anything less than a 4x12x12 min. Oh and they really hate there own species, given time only one will live in most aquariums.
