I was never a fan of the touch pools, but had to look to see which one you picked. Anyway, when I went to the link, a pic of an albino Silurus glanis opened for a brief second, and then disappeared. An error message appeared in the upper left corner of the pic area, so I clicked to open it. I got:

Larry,

That's due to a faulty installation of Java on your computer I think. Either that or some sort of caching issue (which aa forced reload out to sort out). Suggest to uninstall all versions of Java, reboot and install the latest version.

For me, all the Touch Pool pics I tried only show a blank where the pic would be.

Strangely enough, I have the most recent version on the computer. I had to reinstall after formatting the system Monday due to a hack locking me out.

Same here. When I click on the picture for details, this is the error message I get.

Since this, touch pool is broken for some users. Have moved in reports from the announcement into this thread to track.

What browsers are you guys using? I've tried chrome and IE (win, latest) and there is no problem. It might also be a security setting, but let's see about the browser testing first...

Cheers,

So the problem is that, despite this looking like quite a serious error, on two computers and using four different browsers, I can't get it not to work.

I've made a minor change, stab in the dark really, is it working now or not (I am expecting not).

Still not working here.
I think I probably have an out of date Java.
I'll have my gal look in to it.

It seems to be working fine now although this is the first time I am using the Touch Pool and I am unsure of complete functionality.

I got the same message as Larry and Balaji yesterday, but having seen this and tried it again (in FF 13.0.1) it's working fine.

I also note that, depending on configuration of your computer and browser, you may get some sort of security warning. If you don't proceed past that in the positive then I think you'll also get this error.

I just now tried it again, and it appears to be working. I haven't made any changes to the computer, so it just may be fixed.

Working here also.

The pic flickers while scrolling. Minor.

Great news it's fixed Dave. The flickering is expected behaviour when scrolling.

I now get a black space where the picture should be. Clicking on it leads to Durius.com where the error message gets displayed.
