Hi, I have a couple of Otocinclus, one large and one small they are the last out of eight I bought last year, today they were swimming close together then the larger fish stopped attached itself to the glass and the smaller fish seemed to rap it's body over the head of the larger fish, they moved after a couple of minutes then did the same on some bog wood and then plants.
Am I watching the breeding ritual of Otocinclus?

Yes, that is for sure. Just look around the tank for eggs. Most probably on leaves.

This definitely sounds like breeding. IME, the eggs are normally rather difficult to find. I managed to get a couple spawns earlier this year, and lost all the fry till I decided to pull the adults and leave the plants in the tank. The few eggs I did see had an unexpected yellow color. I had assumed they would more resemble cory eggs in shape and color.

Thank you for the information chaps, I have looked as best I can in a heavily planted tank, but can't see any eggs.
I guess with 3 large Peppered Cory and 3 Akysis the chance of survival is pretty remote.
