For example in
there is a block of text listing synonyms, with year, author and type locality.
Surely this should be in the Synonym record [minus the type locality?]
I noticed this on one or two other Farlowella species, I didn't pay that much attention to it the first time.
Is this a new method of giving more details of synonyms, and if so, should we not put it into a form that can be more programmatically useful (e.g. searchable)?

Re: Synonyms in "General remarks"
@MatsP,
This is something Shane did in 2011-09-23 (check the submissions table...), there are a number of Northern species that were synonymised which I am not sure Shane feels are in fact junior synonyms. I recall at least one species that was behaviorally distinct. Again, I'm guessing, but I think Shane was trying to capture the type localities primarily. You'd need to ask @Shane if I've got the gist of that right or not.
However, it definitely should not be a trend (I don't think it is) and the synonyms should be entered in the normal way. I'll do a data edit on the entry.

Re: Synonyms in "General remarks"
Maybe we should have an optional type locality for synonyms? [It would be a rough task to backfill it tho'!]

Re: Synonyms in "General remarks"
That's not a bad idea at all, but then we'd also need to ensure that data is displayed and utilised in maps. Let's talk off-forum about filling in that data. I have a plan...
