Aquarium Project Question

hello, hello, hello. so I'm in the midst of planning a high tech aquarium (which I will be posting in Tank Journals when I get things started) and I plan on building 120 (probably more) gallon aquarium from scratch with acrylic sheets. now, I don't want to use the standard measurements. what I'm thinking of is a very long and somewhat wide dimensions but not very tall. the reason to this is because the inhabitants will be strictly bottom dwelling fish.

so... my question is: are there any "aquarium calculators" online that can tell me if a very long, very wide, but short aquarium will be plausible in terms of structural support? note: the thickness will be roughly 1 - 1.5 inch as of right now until I research more into where it should be.

if you need specific dimensions of what I'm thinking about let me know, I'll post it tomorrow.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

ah ha, ok. funny you mentioned it. I googled it before I posted and I saw and skipped the cichlid forum site - didn't think it would have much. it did answer one question. height of an aquarium has significant effect on tensile strength and bow of the acrylic. so would a decrease in height enable me to go with a thinner acrylic?
