Where might I find a list of fish that occur naturally with bristlenose plecos?

I can't find any at nearby aquatics stores right now, but I'm thinking I'd like to leave room for one or two in the tank.

How specific do you want to be...? The common bristlenose plec species in the aquarium trade is of unknown species, so we don't know where it comes from either, which means we won't know what exactly it lives with. Which means unless you get a particular known species, you won't be able to get fish that actually originate from the same localities. But if you want to be a little more, well, general, Ancistrus are from South America, so most South American fish will do well with bristlenose plecs.

I dont know if the libery in the US will have it but I got Dr Axelrods atlas out of the archieves over here and thats divided into regions and tells you the tank sizes / food types. It's old but so far best book I have found. The bulk of ancistrus were listed under south america.
