Since my male is now guarding eggs again, is there a recommended size or age when it's safe to sell or give the fry from the first clutch away?

Hi wijnands,

Congratulations on a another round I know your looking forward to seeing these grow up. Also happy things settled for you.

For the age / size I would guess the size they can fend for themselves in a community tank. If you are selling to friends who have peaceful fish I would imagine that can be pretty small and only a few months old.

Wijnands I wait till the fry reach inch body size only.
(Note Tail /Head not included in that size)
The first load of batches of mine are 3-4 month at most and just under/about the inch all in so I reckon another month thereabouts and they'll be ready
(Body size an inch that way they should be able to cope with changes to there enviroment better once they go/sent to new homes.
