Hemibagrus Punctatus

Hey i have been searching for this Hemibagrus Punctatus catfish everywhere. Does anyone know where i can get one? or is there something almost the same as it?

I dont think this species is imported very often at all - it is critically endangered in the wild.

the most similar thing regularly available is which does get a lot bigger & is far more aggressive

It has been sometime since this species has been encountered in the trade. I would say it is because of both its status in the wild and demand in the trade. This species cannot be kept in a community tank, so some of the smaller bagrids will be better choices.


PS : You gotta love the name Porthole Bagrid, fits the fish perfectly!!!!!

I have appropraite housing for it i am just really interested in something of a Colourful ineteresting and not commonly seen catfish. Red tailed catfish are ok but super common. Interested in suggestions

Anything More colourful? Like the reason why i like the Hemibargus Punctatus is its silver body with blue eyes and red tail, very colourful and intriguing fish. It doesnt have to be Hemibargus species just other interesting cool fish like this
