Which species?

Corydoras aeneus (common bronze catfish).
Anybody know if High Fin and Long Fin are X-linked, dominant, or recessive traits?

I'd say neither cause they are bred into this species and not natural (genetical) based.
That's different with some other species btw.
When bred with "normal" ones the long fins will slowly dissappear. I've one Paleatus that's offspring of longfinned (bred) and normal. It fins are medium sized.

If the offspring between normal and long fin results in medium fin, that implies that long fin is co-dominant.
That also implies that if you breed the offspring to each other, then you will get:
25% normal fin, 25% long fin, 50% medium fin.

I do not know what you mean by "bred into the species" but they are definitely a heritable trait and genetics based. There is a fish farm here in the USA that breeds them.

Don't know a lot about genetics, but what I meand to say (sorry not being clear : cause I'm Dutch) : there are no natural longfin C.Aeneus to me, so is there a real gen for long fins? I can be totally wrong and hope a real specialist could answer your question in a more scientific way.

Thinking it over I might have said something terribly stupid !!!

My Cory. paleatus longfins breed true. I got a reverse trio from someone shutting down their tank, and have never seen a normal-fin offspring; lots of long-fins, tho!

It is probably more complex than the usual dominant/recessive genetics.
You might need to look into QTL, quantitative trait loci.
There are research of QTL done on fish fins, although I have not seen one for Corydoras.
