I am not sure the diff between sp 2 vs sp 3 other than the markings and apparently diff snout shape.
The fish in post #1 seem to better match sp. 2 fm a layman point of view.
Also, looking at the random feeding behavior, it is more Oxydoras like.

Saw this fish tagged as Niger X Giraffe Catfish.
What do you think ?

Not sure. I always thought these had some of the Pim look.
This is the first time I come across of even a mention of such a hybrid as Niger x Giraffe cat.

I have my doubt too.. but many things are quite possible for hybrid species.
