I have three fish I'm trying to definitively ID
I'm looking for suggestions on traits that would distinguish them
The first fish was ordered as
but is either
or
anything I can look for besides the slight size difference?
The second fish was mixed with a bunch of Wild caught
and from what I can tell is either
or
The fish closely represents both Shane's lunaorum picture and Ingo's L004 picture.
and the last is either
or
What are the biggest differences in these fish that I can look for in mine?

would only get mixed in in with northern species
or
at importers, which is unlikely, so it's much more likely that your fish is
H. lunaorum. Just on stats / export area.
D. amazonica has an orange distal edge to the unpaired fins which no other
has.

There is an article that includes a dichotomous key for the genus. The citation is:
PAIXAO, Andrea de Carvalho and TOLEDO-PIZA, Mônica. Systematics of Lamontichthys Miranda-Ribeiro (Siluriformes: Loricariidae), with the description of two new species. Neotrop. ichthyol. [online]. 2009, vol.7, n.4, pp. 519-568. ISSN 1679-6225.
The link for the full article is here:
http://www.scielo.br/pdf/ni/v7n4/a02v7n4.pdf. If you can't download it, just let me know and I'll get it for you.
Cheers, Eric

That was my thoughts on this

I'll have to look when I get home.
I actually expected you to be on the ball with the Lamontichthys since most of the photos are yours.
Thanks,

I have location data for a lot of the pics of Lamontichthys, not something I have here. The odds are its L. stibaros but they are not good odds and really its a guess.
