Postal stamp placed with wrong species?

Hi Jools,

I'm looking at an image (...image.php?image_id=7822) of a postage stamp on the CLOG page. The fish depiced on the stamp does resemble A. cf_cirrhosus, but the text on the stamp clearly states . It seems that either we have the stamp listed in the wrong CLOG page, or the maker of the original stamp put the wrong Ancistrus species name on the stamp.

Cheers, Eric

P.S. Note to self - apparently the "[img]" code doesn't work for this image from the CLOG page, so I'll manually add the image also:

Good spot, however it's the name on the stamp that's wrong, a common error back in the day. So, it's in the right place.

Cheers

Jools

Hi Jools,
Thanks for the reply. That answer is what I expected to be the case. The fish really didn't look like dolichopterus.
