Hallo

Hallo I have just joined this site, or rather rejoined after many years.
I am originally from The UK, but I have been in Cape Town for many years. I have kept South American fish mostly and in particular catfish.
I have a fishroom of approximately 30 tanks, I keep a mix of corydoras and loracids. I try to find more unusual types but it is hard here, and what is unusual here maybe common elsewhere. At the moment my breeding collection consists of the following. Corydoras metae, sterbai, caudimaculatus, duplicareus, and a few similis, and pygmaeus.
I am also breeding red lizard whiptails L010a and some otocinclus, although I am not sure of the actual type. I have a few L46 which I have not yet managed to spawn, again some Corydoras Leopardus which I am also trying and a few other spieces, Farlowellas, L333, Hypancistrus inspector L201, and a few hangers on that have made it into my tanks over the last few years. Amongst them is probably my oldest fish is a Peckoltia braueri L121 who I have had since 2000.
My tanks are filtered with sponges, and a mix of internal and external Eheims. The water where I live is very soft and neutral to acidic.
I'm looking forward to getting some valuable advice here and making acquaintances with fellow catfish keepers.
