Hello Brian,
At roughly what size did they start spawning (assuming you got them when they were still young). I have currently 12 of these little buggers myself (along with 15 L400)
Thanks
Markus

Hey, those plecs look gorgeous!
telling L399 and L400 apart seems pretty tough to me.
Markus, could u provide some pictures of both your plecs? I would really appreciate that. Thanks.

Hi Markus,
My original pair were wild caught adults but some of there F1 young which are now around 2 and a half years old are showing signs of breeding still no eggs yet though! so i am guessing like most hypancistrus it will be around 3 years + around 5/6 inch
L399 are suppose to have the more slightly and more elongate bodyshape and the caudal fin is usually more forked too
