Catfish Cataclysm
Posted: 27 Sep 2015, 21:34
Whoo-whoo! Cataclysm is just 18 days away! This is a long post, but lots of good information, so please read on.
We extended the pre-registration deadline to Oct. 10th. You may register by paper form or online, but paper forms must be in our hot little hands by the 10th, so please mail them out asap. Pre-registration ensures you can partake of the wonderful free food on Saturday! After that you can still register at the door but, unfortunately, no food because we have to get the numbers into the hotel by the 10th.
Full Weekend Registration $40
Includes access to vendors, speakers, auctions & swap - no food
Sat. Vendor & Auction Pass $5
Sat. Vendors & Auction + Sunday Swap Pass $10 Sunday
SWAP Only $5
Don't forget, we have a general aquarium gear/fish swap on Sunday. $20 gets you a 6' table (you can purchase multiple tables, too). This is not limited to catfish. Even if you are planning on doing sales from your hotel room, this is a great way to get some extra sales in on Sunday when you have to check out of your room by noon.
Ted has started to enter the fish that are going into the Rare Catfish Auction into the Cataclysm's auction on MyGroupAuctions.com Here is how to see them, and watch for new species to be added:
1) go to http://www.mygroupauctions.com/
2) create a log in account (or log in if you are already registered with the site)
3) Join the group 'Madison Area Aquatic Hobbyists'
4) The 'Cataclysm 2015' event will appear in the list of auctions. Click on the BINOCULARS icon on the right end of that auction's line and all of the auction lots will appear
If you are planning to donate catfish to the auction (we are only selling catfish), you can enter the lot into the auction yourself by clicking on the red + icon on the right end of that line (near the binoculars icon). Please click on the DONATION box.... all of the fish are being donated to the event.
We are planning on 100 bags of catfish in the auctions. Even more if everyone bringing catfish to sell will donate a bag or two. If you would like to donate catfish to the auction, but cannot come to the event, please contact Ted Judy at tjudy@tedsfishroom.com.
