CSG Auction this Sunday 21st Feb

I'm thinking of attending the Catfish Study Group auction in Darwen this weekend.
I'm trying to find out more details about the event including the start time, but I can't find much on the CSG website or elsewhere online. I tried emailing the contact listed on the website (Mark) last week but had no response. I am a CSG member.
I gather there is some discussion of the event on Facebook, but I'm not on Facebook and I can't view the CSG pages as a guest.
Could someone point me towards any more information on the event?
Many thanks,
Paul

Is it mandatory to register lots in advance, or can I do that on the day?
I was thinking of bringing a group of Crenuchus Spilurus if they are eligible (not being catfish)
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks Eric - some great additions there
I think I'm going to take my two synos (flavitaeniatus and nigriventris) as well as my sailfin tetras. Hopefully I'll come back with something!

Good hunting, friend. Our local fish club is having its semi-annual "mega auction" in March, but as good as it is, it will pale in comparison to the CSG auction in terms of the catfish offerings (our club members tends to sell unique African cichlids and New world livebearers).
If I was at your auction, I would grab the B. imitator and C. robineae (both on my "wishlist" list), the C141 (but only if it's real C141 (not ornatus) to go with the three I have already), C. robustus and L201 (neither on my wishlist, but both are species I've eyed before). And why isn't there any L397 for sale?
Cheers, Eric
P.S., So far, nobody has responded on the GSG FaceBook page to my inquiry about L244 for sale. Sorry, bud; I guess it's just not that available.

Hi Eric, the L397s aren't always available here, I look around online quite regularly for opportunities for introducing new bloodlines. In my online searches, I've seen them selling via ebay, one of which is the guy that breeds mine, his turnover is slow and some of his stock are almost adults. He also sells via other means so I need to be really careful with checking the source. Another LFS not far from me has had them a few times, but again I checked out the source. The other ebay seller, is very few and far between. Another online search returns: Tropical Fish Finder and Wildwoods where you can put the fish you want in and it will tell you if and where its available, but when it has returned a positive result, I've then contacted the LFSs and found it's actually not in stock. I haven't seen them advertised online anywhere else. I then checked Pier Aquatics, but only as Mol_PMB mentioned in a thread he got his there, I found them at another known for selling rare fish LFS, both had them in stock, but weren't delivering because of the cold weather. I'm not saying it's more or less impossible because if I went around checking stock lists some of the more popular or well known for rarer fish LFSs I'd probably find them. And there's surely got to be a few more breeding these.

Hi Teresa, thanks for the explanation, I really appreciate the detail. And with that, I don't know how to break the news to you... I was being somewhat cheeky when I posed that question.
Cheers, Eric

That's ok, was thinking it's about the fact it's difficult to obtain these in the US, and merely pointing out its not easy here either, unless I obtain more from the same source.

Teresa, would you be interested in my group?

Are you wanting to sell them on? Can you ship them? I'd also need to make some space, possibly by rehoming my youngest ones as adding another 3 females and a male to my set up would be really pushing it. However the opportunity to add some new adult bloodlines isn't one I would say no to.

Great event, lots of interesting fish and other stuff sold at some keen prices.
Thanks to the organisers and Mark the auctioneer
I sold my two synos and my sailfin tetras for good prices, and spent the proceeds on the Brachyrhamdia imitator and 3 Brochis splendens (I already have a shoal of these and the price was good) plus some plants and food.
There were gorgeous Hypans selling for as little as £8 but I restrained myself!

New friends from the CSG auction, still settling in to the QT

I really like the Brachyrhamdia; this is my second species of them (the other is a meesi).
I wonder if he/she would mix happily with C048 (which I already have)?

There was only one imitator! So no breeding to be attempted just yet in afraid.
