Madtoms

Any ideas for a smaller species of madtom to go in a 20 long with my four black banded sunfish and possibly some mountain redbelly dace? In the summer, the dace and sunfish would go in my dad's pond and I would like to try to breed the madtoms, if that's possible. It's a black water tank with pretty low flow and a lot of vegetation.

Tadpole madtoms () would sound about right.

During the PVAS Catfish Convention we collected from the Rivanna River in Virginia. They seemed to be more aggressive with each other then the also collected.

Thanks! I think I might try the tadpoles or n. insignis

I would go with Noturus gyrinus. Igsignis will work as well, but they tend to prefer slightly more current (they'll still thrive in slackwater, however) and are more aggressive than gyrinus.
