Hello All,
First, I must admit to really enjoying the forum and site overall. I have a query for you all... yet another case of "what's my catfish?" I rescued this fellow when he was only about 2cm in length and being told it was an oto species. I am not too sure at this point, unless it's a long variant. It is now two years older and about 10cm in length, longer than the typical longest of the oto types, yes? I could easily be wrong! Any ideas on species? Thanks so much in advance!

Not an Otocinclus... I don't even think its catfish! I could be off but it looks more like a gara or loach species to me.

Hi,

looks like Epalzeorhynchus kallopterus, a cyprinid.

Right! It certainly isn't an oto, from its size and shape. I have been thinking something like the Crossochelilus sp.... but the Epalzeiohynchus looks likely. Not a cat at all. Definitely in the Cyprinidae family then.
Much appreciated !!
