Has anybody used this anti-wormer medicated fish food?

Hi All,

During my most recent trip to LFS, I found this food product: A flake fish food medicated with parasite/worm killing drugs.
Dewormex Flake Plus.jpg
(Pardon the funky photo, I had to take two pics of the bottle's back side to get all the ingredients, and I attempted to stitch the two photos together to show all the ingredients at once.)

As you can see, the active ingredients are Piperazine and Yomesan. It says it'll treat round worms, thornyheaded worms, tapeworms, and wasting disease. The Mayo Clinic says Piperazine is a standard medicine (in humans) for common round worms and pinworms. And according to the state of Alaska, Yomesan is the drug of choice for treating tapeworms in humans.

I've never used either of these meds, but I have read other peoples' posts where they claim you need to infuse a lot of the parasite medicines into food, because the fish don't drink and therefore won't absorb enough medicine if simply diluted into tank water (plus you're treating the whole tank instead of just the fish).

I didn't buy any because I currently have plenty of PraziPro at home and have been using that prophylactically on QT'd new purchases.

What are your thoughts? Even if not this particular food, have any of you used piperazine or yomesan?

Cheers, Eric
