Help identify my Corys

Hello,
I am new to the forum and was hoping you can help me identify my new Corys. I bought them a couple of minutes ago and was told they were Julii Corys. The store owner seemed pretty doubtful on naming them. So I came home and searched Julii and these seem similar but do not have the big black spot on their dorsal fin.

Hi Roger Cha,

First welcome to PlanetCatfish!

About your fish, what you have there is . A very nice cory (I have some myself). Take good care of them and they will develop a nice green iridescence on their sides when they are in good condition.

Cheers,
Eric

Hmmm... you might have a mix there. Striped dorsal fins and black dorsal fins. Maybe both sodalis and reticulatus?

Oh, good catch! I did not notice the darker fin in back.

Other option is . I recently got some mixed in with my sodalis.

Cheers, Eric

Correct, one out of the 6 I bought does have a black spotted dorsal. CW061 might be that one.

Thanks for both your help.

If the black is a nearly round spot, your fish is . If the black forms one or two think black diagonal or horizontal stripes though the dorsal fin, then the fish is .
