I'm getting conflicting information regarding the housing of a BN and L273 together!

They're both in a 5ft 500 litre tank. The BN Plec seems to be the boss, at the moment. The BN is fully grown, around 7 inches and the L273 is only a toddler at the moment at around 4-5 inches.

What are peoples thoughts?

EDIT: I've noticed the L273 has split fins and some holes also, I'm assuming they've been fighting but can't be sure!

The tank seems plenty large to house them, but I have a couple of concerns:

1) Are there any other plecos? Perhaps by having only two in the tank, you give no opportunity for aggressive behavior to be redirected away from the larger BN to the smaller Pseuda.

2) How many hiding places do you have in the tank? and do you have the line-of-sight broken up in the tank with various objects (wood, rocks, etc.)

3) I imagine that the BN is more sociable and out than the Pseuda, so is the BN dominating when it comes to feeding?

They are the only two Pleco in the tank and the aggression is coming from the BN to the Pseuda.

There are a few hiding places and also line-of-sight is broken by pieces of wood.

The BN never really comes out until lights out which is the only time he feeds.

I've actually noticed that wherever the Pseuda takes up residence, the very next time I go to see if he's there, the BN has moved him out. It appears that the BN is marking every inch of the tank as his territory.

I've actually decided to move the BN out into the Goldfish tank we have which is 4ft and kept at a reasonable room temperature of 23ºC which will give the Pseuda some respite and hopefully this will also encourage him to venture out as he'll have more hiding places than currently available to him.
