Hatching eggs and raising fry - Questions

Hello, I’m pretty new to cory’s. Recently my duplicareus laid some eggs and I have a couple of questions regarding their care.

I collected 10 eggs and put them in their own, small container with some methylene blue and an air pump. 8 of them hatched out in three days. Two of them got their tail out but couldn’t work themselves out of their eggs. Is this typical? I assume they just didn’t have the strength to get out of the egg and eventually perished.

Another thing I observed was one of the fry hatched but didn’t have a yolksac. He got out of the egg but was lifeless after, I want to say he was “still born”. But he was able to get out of his egg.

The others seemed really strong and darted around their container. But after a two days they too passed away. It looked as if they weren’t eating from their yolksacs, the yolksac was just as big or even bigger than when they hatched.

Do you have any tips for the next spawn? I changed some of the water every other day and would siphon any debris off the bottom using a turkey baster. Water was taken from the parent tank. Knowing they feed from their yolksacs, I didn’t feed them any food.

Thank you all in advance!

BP
