Hi All,

From other posts this week (here and here), I've found new spawns from and . This morning I found a fresh spawn. Tonight I found a new spawn from my fry of ! And, another pair of L397 are trapping. We've had stormy weather for a week and I'm really seeing the love!

I've never really seen spawns laning to storms, but now I'm totally convinced!

Cheers, Eric

Same here :d It has been quiet for the past two weeks. Then my Ancistrus sp. L309 spawned but he ate the eggs after fighting with the other male again...
But...my Panaqolus claustilifer are trapping for the first time and my own bred Panaqolus sp. L397 are also trapping for their first time. We also have stormy weather here at the moment :-BD

Good luck for you :-BD :-BD

Success! The second L397 pair spawned today. That's 5 spawns in 3 days! ❤

I'm really liking this low pressure front!

Last night I took the small bamboo cave with the male wabenmuster guarding some fry (some have left the cave already); anyway, I took the cave and dumped the fry into a fry net/basket so I could feed them more easily and monitor growth better. I thought I recovered 16 fry last night, but this morning I counted 20 fry in the basket. I'll need to work to find out how many wabenmuster fry are loose in the parents' tank.

This moring I discovered the Rio Tocantins have started hatching, although not all have yet. Also, my very young male Rio Ucayali who spawned either kicked out his egg mass or lost it. Either way, I found it loose in the tank. Thankfully I was able to grab it and put it in a fry basket to hatch.

Cheers, Eric
