Charlie Mueller speaks in Northern California about breeding whiptail catfishes

The Sacramento Aquarium Society is excited to host Charlie Mueller, who will give a presentation entitled, “Experiences and Breeding of Whiptail Catfish," discussing his personal experiences with maintaining and breeding some of the “whiptail” catfish of South America.
About the speaker:
Charlie Mueller has been keeping fish for over 20 years around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Focused almost exclusively on South American fish over the years, he has recently narrowed down a focus to catfish with sucker mouths, from cave spawners to lip brooders. Being a member of GPASI, Greater Pittsburgh Aquarium Society, has only enabled the addiction to grow even larger, currently focusing on breeding members of the Apistoloricaria/Rhadinoloricaria, Planiloricaria, Pseudacanthicus, and Pseudohemiodon genera. The presentation will focus on first hand experience with maintaining, breeding, and raising different species of suckermouth catfish from South America..
Everyone is welcome. Kid friendly. Attendance is free.
After the presentation, the meeting will include a bowl show competition, and a raffle and auction featuring live fish and plants and aquarium equipment and supplies. The bowl show this month is... you guessed it... catfishes!
The Sacramento Aquarium Society meets monthly, on the first Saturday of each month, at the Round Table Pizza, 9500 Greenback Lane, Folsom, CA (the business fronts onto Madison Avenue). General meetings start at 6:00pm. Our pre-meeting social time starts at 4:00pm.
