Hi,

I am wondering what you guys think about the combination of panda corys and botia striata for the bottom of my tank? I have heard people say that the loaches might be too aggressive? I know both fish need to be kept in shoals.

My tank is 360L, planted with lots of amazon sword plants with a sand substrate. Chemistry: ammonia and nitrites 0, nitrates between 10 - 20mg/L, pH 8.0, GH 16 & temp 25. I do weekly water changes of around 25%. My other fish: 8 rainbows, 8 danios, 1 south american puffer, 4 horsehead loaches, 1 ghost knife, 1 sturisoma and 1 spotted dora (rarely seen!).

Any advice would be very helpful!

Hi!

I have kept some Cories along some Botia striata. I have never witness any agression problem. Botia striata seems to be rather kind and peaceful! So it should work out...
Cheers

My botia striata ate the eyes of quite a few of my corys!! Unfortunately they were not in my care at the time and the carers mistook this for disease and did nothing!!
