Spikes on male cory pectoral spine?

Was snapping some photos of my male black Venezuela corydoras and one photo focused on his pectoral fin spine.

I noticed bristles.

Never noticed this on cories.

Hmmmm... I know they can be serrated. But few corys have odontodes.

Given theyre on the top of the fin spine, they seem to be odontodes

Cropped closer.
This guy has both the serrations at the front of the spine, but odontodes on the top
