Hi,

I'm trying to get an exact ID on this guy. I've had him a while, and can not find him a companion.

Thank you,
Deb

, although from this camera angle, the snout looks short and rounded like a lineage 9. But I don't know of any lineage 9 corys that look like this, so I'll stick with a bad camera angle of C. delphax.

Cheers, Eric

Hi Eric!
Thank you, sooooo much. His nose is snubbed. I think it was an injury, but what is lineage 9?

Any direction to finding him/her a soul mate(s) for sale?

Thanks, Deb

Hi Deb,

Delphax is commonly sold in the USA, but not always under the right name. Study the pictures and become familiar with its appearance so if you see it's for sale, you can be sure you're getting the same thing.

Lineages are groups of corys and their relatives that are more closely related. In the clog here, each group is named with its Lineage added into its name. For example, Corydoras trilineatus is listed as Corydoras(ln9) trilineatus. Lineage 9 is the largest group of corys and they are characterized by a shorter, rounder snout compared to other corys.

Cheers, Eric
