Do I have 2 different species of otos?

Hi all. So I just bought 4 otocinclus from my lfs (I will be adding 4 more next week). I was wondering if anyone could ID the species please. One seems to have a solid thick black line and the others it goes thinner before the tail splotch. Do I have more than 1 species or are they the same but just look a little different? Thank you.

You definitely have two spp which is fairly common as exporters do not sort Otos by species. In Bogota, I have seen Otos collected in Leticia (Amazon) dumped into tanks with Otos collected in the Orinoco basin. Tran-shippers and wholesalers may even combine shipments from completely different countries. On the positive side, it is easy for someone with a good eye to collect several Oto spp even through chain pet stores.

Oh cool, thank you so much. Would you happen to know what species they are? Obviously it doesn't make any difference to me but I find it super interesting. I have the option of buying some arnoldi at the moment which I may go for just to have some variety.
