If this isn't an L134, then what is it?

Post by AZBetta »

Hi everyone. I'm new here. I have a variety of Plecos, and until today, I believed I had 2 Leopard Frog Plecos, but after posting a photo of one of them on a Discus Group, I'm being told that it's not an L134, though no one seems sure of what it is. Can you help?

Hi AZBetta,

Welcome to PlanetCatfish! Your pleco is definitely not (L134). Your fish is one of the species, although exactly which one I'm not sure. Do you have any information on its source?

Cheers, Eric

Thanks Eric, the importer is confused as well, so hopefully someone will be able to identify him.

Hi,

you got a Hypancistrus from the Xingu, a member of the "wormlined pattern complex".
